On Friday, September 16, 2022, Victoria Novella Valentine, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter was called home to be with the Lord while peacefully resting in her home.

Victoria, affectionately known as Vicky, was born June 30, 1959, in Washington, D.C. to Paul and Novella Valentine.

Vicky was blessed with two children Shacana Valentine Fleming and James Anthony Valentine, Sr. who each gave her two grandchildren-Ashlee Grier, Adrienne Fleming, Jayden Valentine, and James Valentine, Jr.

In 1988, Vicky moved to Charlotte to raise her family and secured employment as Legal Practice Assistance at Moore & Van Allen Law Firm where she worked for more than thirty years until an early retirement in October 2021.

Vicky most enjoyed spending time with her family. She was well known for her daily phone calls with her mother, until her mother's passing in May of 2018, and frequent phone calls and visits with her siblings whom she loved.

Vicky's heart was with her children and grandchildren with whom she was well known to dance, share deep belly laughs, share meals, give good hugs, fiercely protect, provide for, and give advice, and guidance, especially regarding money management.

She frequently closed conversations and signed her name with the phrase, "With all my love", and her family will surely remember her for having given them all of her love.

In the summer of 2020, the Lord led Vicky to join a house of prayer and worship-Greater Galilee Baptist Church in Charlotte. There she began discipleship courses and made public her belief in the death, burial, resurrection, and soon return of Jesus Christ, by being baptized in fall 2020.

Left to cherish the memory of Vicky are her children Shacana Fleming (Calving Fleming, III-son-in-love) and James Valentine, grandchildren Ashlee Grier, Adrienne Fleming, Jayden Valentine, and James Valentine, Sr., her siblings Glendora Valentine, Kevin Valentine, Sr., and Paul Valentine, Jr. a host of nieces and nephews, her dear friends, and loving church family.
