Mr. Vincent Conde Jr, 76, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at his residence.
Vincent "Chico" Conde Jr., beloved father, grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024 at the age of 76. Born on January 17, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York (the only child of the late Gertrude Mathias and Vincent Conde, Sr). His childhood was filled with love and support - he was Gertrude's world. During Vincent's teenage years he attended Eli Whitney High School and played 2nd base for the Brooklyn Twins.
Vincent lived a full and adventurous life, leaving behind a legacy of service dedication and love. Vincent proudly served in the US Marines, a period of his life that shaped much of his character. Following his military service, he went on to explore a variety of careers, including working as a dance instructor at Fred Astaire dance studio, a printer and a truck driver. Printing was by far his favorite occupation and on October 6, 1977 he was awarded the "Employee Fair Share" plaque award and was recognized in a local newspaper. His versatility and work ethic were apparent in every role he took on. Vincent also spent time as a security professional in Kuwait further demonstrating his commitment to service and discipline. A lover of martial arts, Vincent found joy practicing karate, a passion he carried with him through his life.
He moved from Brooklyn, NY to Beaumont, Tx, and later to Charlotte, NC, where he built strong connections within each community. His infectious spirit, kind heart, and love for life were felt by all who knew him.
Vincent is survived by his four children, Vanessa Chalk, Ramona Rico, Vida Leigh and Joshua Conde. His sister's Mildred Padillo, Linda Morrow, and Elizabeth Padron, his brother Bobbi Kearns. His fiancé, Irma Olivares and his cherished grandchildren Destinee, DeAnna, Darius, Ramona, Miguel, Ashley, Noelia, Vicente, Gabby, Daniel, and Eli. And bonus grandchildren Daquan, Jacob, Marc Aaron, Ariana, Jazmin, Anissa, Gabrielle, Gabby and Caleb.
Vincent's family and friends will forever remember his deep love for his children, grandchildren, and the many lives he touched with his kindness and wisdom. He was a man of strength, compassion, and adventure qualities that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
