Ms. Voncille Olivia Stukes was born in Charlotte, NC on September 12, 1960 to the late Henry and Margaret Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina. She was taken from us to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 25, 2022. Voncille was preceded in death by her son, Quantez Stukes and her daughter, Silesia Stukes.

Voncille joined the US Army on August 22, 1978 and served twenty years of continuous honorable service; including successful tours in Germany, Belgium, and Japan. She retired August 31, 1998 and promptly moved back to Charlotte, NC to be with family. Voncille was a supervisor and armed security for Professional Security Services. She loved traveling, taking pictures, and collecting souvenirs. Her other hobbies were reading, puzzles, crocheting, listening to music and spending time with family.

Voncille leaves behind; two sons, Qudolphius and Quadarius Stukes; her brothers; Nathaniel Porter and Ronald Brown; her sister; Barbara Brown, aunts and uncles; Paulette McKinney, Pastor J.C. Porter, and Larry Avery; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
