Mr. Wade Terrill Burch, 57, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at his residence.
Wade Terrill Burch was born on August 11, 1966, to the late Jule Arthur Burch and Janet Redfearn Burch in Brooklyn, NY. He departed this life on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
Wade gave his life to Christ at a young age at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY. As a young Christian, he found joy serving as an usher. He served faithfully in this ministry from youth through his adult years until he left New York.
Wade graduated from South Shore High School and continued his education at Kingsborough Community College where he earned an associate degree in Retail Business Management. After graduation, he started his career working in various retail stores including Tiffany and Co.
In 1990, Wade relocated to Charlotte, NC where he initially continued working in the retail industry. He later found employment with Carolinas Medical Center where he worked for many years.
In 1993, he was united in marriage to Erika Wall. To this union two children were born. Wade enjoyed fatherhood and cherished the time he spent with them. Wade had a love for family and community. He would call aunts, uncles, cousins and longtime friends if he had not heard from them in a while just to catch up.
In his adult years, Wade found a love for running and ran in several races throughout the year. In addition to his love for running, Wade developed a deeper relationship with the Lord. This led him to become an avid reader of the Bible and motivated him to call and text family members and friends daily to share a scripture and motivating thought for the day.
Wade was preceded in death by his father Jule Arthur Burch, whom he admired deeply.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Janet Redfearn Burch of Cheraw, SC; his wife, Erika Michelle; his son, Terrill Jamal; his daughter, Jada Michele, all of Charlotte, NC; his sister, Vanessa (Keith Sumpter) of Smyrna, GA; and a host of family members and friends.
