Mr. Warren Alexander Erwin, 73, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Novant-Main Hospital.
Warren Alexander Erwin, affectionately known as "Big Warren;" was born June 22, 1951, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to the late John Thomas Erwin, Sr. and Carrie Crawford Erwin. He departed from this life to live eternal on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Warren graduated from Olympic High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. Upon graduation, he expressed interest in becoming a commercial bus driver. He obtained his CDL license and started his career traveling as a Charter Bus Driver. A few of the companies he drove for were T's Tours, Travel Lease, Spalding Bus Company, and Sunway. He met several people along the way while traveling the States. Warren had a passion for being a travel agent and driving.
He joined Steele Creek A.M.E. Zion at an early age. Warren was an active member of Steele Creek until his health declined.
Warren leaves to cherish his son, Patrick A. Erwin; grandson, Tyveon Alexander Moss Erwin, and goddaughter, Donna Gilliam (Andre); three brothers, John Thomas Erwin Jr. (Lucie), Rev. Dr. George Erwin (Florence), and Willie L. Erwin, Sr.; four sisters, Mrs. Helen E. Cousart, Ms. Willette E. McCollie, Ms. Christine Erwin, and Mrs. Ethel E. Phillips, all of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
