Wilbert Leon Carrothers, 67 of Charlotte, transitioned from this life on Thursday, December 01, 2022 at his residence in Charlotte NC.  He was born to Grady Alexander Carrothers and Francis MacDonald Carrothers on August 7, 1955.

Leon graduated from Harding High School on June 6, 1973. He played football and basketball and was offered a scholarship to South Carolina State, but instead chose to join the workforce.  He worked at J.B. Iveys as Warehouse Manager.  He also became a model of the Men's Clothing Department and later retired from Sunbelt.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Sandra McManus, stepchildren Larry McManus Lyles, Nickie McManus Lyles, Tony McManus, step granddaughter Corinne Lyles and grandson L.J.; brothers, Raymond Alexander Carrothers, William Anthony Carrothers, Wayne Bernard Carrothers; sisters, Linda Ruth Carrothers (preceded in death) and Joye Elaine Carrothers; a host of nieces, nephews that truly loved their "Uncle Leon".

He fought a good and hard fight, now it's time to rest in peace.
