William Jonas Bauknight Jr., son of William Bauknight Sr. and Betty R. Bauknight. William departed from this life on Monday December 16, 2019 .

William graduated from West Charlotte Senior High School Class of 1971. He also attended Johnson C. Smith University and Central Piedmont Community College. William married the former Mary Ann Thomas and their union was blessed with one loving daughter Candice (Tony). William was blessed with three grandchildren JaQuan, Amari and Zayden.

Mr. Bauknight retired from Southeast Trucking Company and as he started to enjoy retirement God called him home. William was a quiet and caring person who truly loved his family.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife Mary, daughter, Candice (Tony), grandchildren, JaQuan, Amari and Zayden, siblings, Pearl Williams, Deborah Laurence, Robert Steven Bauknight and Betty B. Bauknight, and a host of cousins and friends.
