Mr. William "Bill" Crawford Sr. died peacefully at home on Sunday, December 5, 2021 in Charlotte, North Carolina at the age of 82.

Bill is survived by his wife Vivian; children, Bill Jr. (Deborah, wife), Kevin (Sandra, wife), John Eric, Diamond, Chris, and Tony; grandchildren Chonsey (Lauren, wife), Destiny, Kevin Jr., Robert and Davontae; and great grandchildren Maclaren, Jordan and Simone.

He is preceded in death by his Mother Willie Mae Carpenter, Father Andrew Crawford and three brothers Andrew "Donnie", Robert "Bobby" and John.

Bill was born on February 23, 1939 in Buffalo, New York to Willie Mae and Andrew. He graduated from Burgard High School with a diploma in machine shop. He married Vivian, a bank teller in Buffalo after serving honorably in the United States Marines in 1966. Bill began working for Westinghouse as a machinist and over time, the couple welcomed 6 children into their home. His children remember him as a funny, warm, and a charismatic father who loved Jazz music, basketball and the Buffalo Bills.

Bill was an active and dedicated member and often volunteered at Berean Seventh Day Adventist Church.

A Military Funeral Honors is scheduled for Thursday December 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Salisbury National Cemetery located at 501 Statesville Boulevard in Salisbury, North Carolina 28144. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the Life and Times of William Crawford Sr.
