Mr. William Edward Hearn Sr., 74 of Charlotte, departed his earthly home on Friday, September 11, 2020.  He was better know as "Mr. Will", "Chill Will", "Granddaddy", "Papa", and "Uncle William", was born on October 28, 1945 to Bruester and Cora Lee Hearn, who preceded him in death.

A native Charlottean, he attended York Road High School and was a graduate of Teamer School.  He was a 35 year employee of Owens Illinois and after retirement worked for 17 years at Sweepstakes.

He loved to play golf, he loved his Washington "Redskins" and his Tarheels....Most of all, he loved his family.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley; daughters, Lena (Rick), and Angela; and his son, William (Andrea).  He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. His surviving brothers are Bruester, Sam, and John, along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He is predeceased by Tom, Bob and his sister, Betty.
