William Howard Jackson also known as "Billy Jack" was born October 18, 1942 in Asheville, NC. He was the son of the late Pauline Jackson. He peacefully departed his life on his birthday,  October 18, 2023 at the Charlotte Health Rehabilitation Center.

William was educated in the Buncombe County public school system. He worked several years as a Custodian.
William loved to party and he loved to dance! He loved people and he loved spending time with family. One of his favorite hobbies was fishing. He played the lottery and he was a dieheart Panthers Fan.

William was preceded in death by his mother, his wife, Betty Herman Jackson, his granddaughter Daondra Horton and his sister Peggy Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his only daughter, Angela Horton of Charlotte, NC and his other children in love, Antony Herman, Paul Herman (Emily), Michelle Horton and William Horton (Shinita).  His grandchildren, Quisha Horton and Sanchez Horton, his best friend, "Frog" and a host of other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
