Mr. William Dupriest McCorkle, 46, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Atrium Main.

William Dupriest McCorkle, aka Hanasi Malachi, was born on April 4, 1978, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to William Joseph and Debra McCorkle Neal.  On Monday, February 24, 2025, at the age of 46. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo and Sara McCorkle; his father, William Joseph; his brother, Devon Aron McCorkle; and his daughter, Teniesha McCorkle.

William was educated in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.  He attended Myers Park Senior High School.  He was a delivery driver for Collins Dry Cleaners.  William was a devoted father who cherished his family.  He was an avid reader, particularly of the Bible, and found great joy in music and fishing.  His engaging personality and love for storytelling made him a beloved presence at family gatherings.  Known for his humility, kindness, and insightful perspective, he left an indelible mark on those around him.

He is survived by his loving children – two daughters, Emoni McCorkle, Nakayla McCorkle, and one son, William McCorkle, Jr.; his loving mother, Debra Neal (Timothy) and his siblings, Amanda Joseph, Aprell Harrison, Gretchen Joseph, U'Leasa Joseph, JaQuez Joseph, Quindell Joseph, DeJawon Joseph, and Amanda Joseph; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends who will miss him dearly.
