Mr. William Edward Ross, 72, of Charlotte, affectionately called "LaLa", passed away on January 14, 2017 at VA Hospital Hospice, Salisbury. Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Mission Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, 3039 Amay James Avenue, Charlotte. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon. Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the National Cemetery, Salisbury.

Those left to cherish his memories, a special friend and caretaker; Linda Ross, two daughters, Riviera Ross, Jyllian Ross, two sons, William Darryl Bowden, Michael William Bowden, six sisters, Brenda Harris, Minister JoAnn Stover, Gayle Brown (Telford), Denise D. Cathey all of Charlotte; Amelia Ann Skipwith of Shrewsbury, MA, Barbara Cathey Cameron (Thomas) of Durham, NC; three brothers, Franzel and Antonio Cathey of Charlotte and Arthur Barber of Miami FL.; ten grandchildren, one god daughter, Dionne Witherspoon of Washington, DC and his companion for many years, Josephine McKinney.
