Mr. William Rufus "Bill" Sanders, 81 of Charlotte, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.   He was born August 11, 1940 in Chester, South Carolina.  He was born to Katie and William M. Sanders, Sr.  He was a devoted soul-mate, brother, stepfather, uncle and friend to many.

William attended schools in Chester, South Carolina.  He was a member of Mt. Prospect Baptist Church in Lowry, South Carolina.  William moved to Charlotte in late 1950's and worked several construction jobs and landed with Crowder Construction where he worked for 35 years until retirement.

William enjoyed playing BINGO and playing at the Casinos during his retirement years, along with traveling around the country.  He enjoyed sending time with his stepchildren, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Katie and William Sanders, and stepson, John Wesley Little.  He leaves to cherish his memories to his sister, Alberta Sanders Aldrich; long time soul-mate of 35 years, Vanessa Gordon; stepdaughters, Erica Gordon, Teresa Little, Keresa Little and Stephanie Little; and stepsons, Dwight Little, Jr., Jo Nate Little (Bonita), James Little (Joyce), Johnny Little, Napoleon Little (Lavaris).  William also leaves sixteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
