Spivey, of Charlotte, NC.
He joined First Baptist Church-West as a child and became the first Black Eagle Scout in Mecklenburg County. William attended Isabella Wyche Elementary and later, York Road High School. He was a proud Aggie of North Carolina A&T State University, where he studied Mechanical Engineering. He later went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Master's Degree in Christian Education, graduating with honors from Pfeiffer University.
William became an ordained Deacon in 1972 and was always an active member in Church.
