Reverend Willie Mack Crank was born March 9, 1937 in Chester, South Carolina to the late Matthew Crank and Jeanette McClurkin and reared by Herndon D. Clark and Etta Kirkpatrick Crank.

Mack was educated in Chester, South Carolina Public schools. He continued his advanced studies of Theology at Teamer School of Religion and Shaw Divinity School.

Minister Mack Crank loved the Lord and served as outrea ch in the Greater Queen City of Charlotte NC through Silver Mount Baptist Church , Reeder Memorial Baptist Church , Progressive Baptist Church , Greater Faith Baptist Church and 1 st Corinthians Baptist Church. In Concord NC, he served at Mount Zion Baptist Church and Networks Church. In his hometown of Chester and Carlisle SC he served at Ebenezer Baptist Church and Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church .

Brother Crank was a member of the "Great Gospel Kings" , Ministers Conference, General Baptist Layman's League and the National Baptist Convention Delegates.

Preceding him in death were his parents Matthew and Jeanette; children, Willie Andre Crank, Janie Alexander, and Rose Crank; siblings, Robert Lee, James Matthew, John Arthur, Artis Gene, and Mary Liza.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Mary Johnson Archille Crank ; daughters, Gloria Crank and La Keisha Jones ; grandchildren, Darius Robinson, Das ani Woodard and Michael Crank, and great grandchildren Dalauni Am adi, De'Arie & De'Najae Robinson; b rothers, Lynell Crank of Rockingham, NC, David Crank, Lonnell Crank, Dwight Crank (Teresa ) all of Hamlet, NC and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
