Willie Thurman Cross was born August 8, 1943 in Lexington, NC to the late Wade Cross and Willie Mae Crawford Cross.

Willie was educated at Dunbar High School in Lexington, NC & graduated from NC A&T State University in Greensboro, NC with a Bachelors in Science in Education. Willie served in the US Army in the Aviation Division during Vietnam War & rose to E6 status. Willie worked as a District Manager for Sears, a Route Supervisor for UPS & retired from Universal Cab Company as Operations Manager in 2012.

Willie loved his family. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Horace & Roland Cross. Willie's favorite past time was spending time with his wife, children & grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Cross, two daughters, Ashley Cross (Arturo) & Dana Cross & two grand children, Major & Milan Cross. He also leaves behind his cousins, Charlotte Cross, Elaine Cross & Diane Bolden.
