Willie Mae Barber Jant, "Sister," received her wings on Saturday, August 23, 2025.  She was born March 3, 1933, in Charlotte, NC and was married to the late Johnny Jant, Jr.

Willie Mae was educated in the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.  She graduated from Second Ward High School in 1951.  She retired from Qualex, Inc. Kodak.  After retirement, she enjoyed her family.  She loved cooking.

She was a dedicated member of South Tryon Presbyterian Church before going to Legacy Ministries Church.  She was a lifetime member of Presbyterian Women.  She served on the Usher Board, Building Fund, Circle #3, Pastor's Aid, and was a devoted mother to her children.  She  loved her family dearly,.

In addition to her late husband, Willie Mae was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Ann Jant and son, Johnny Jant, III.

Left to cherish her memories are her two daughters, Valerie Smith (Mike) and Jackie Davis (Gary) and son, Arthur Jant; two granddaughters, Dashia Jant and Danielle Jant and two grandsons, Dillion Cooper and Christopher Smith; two sisters, Nancy Glover and Barbara Ann Barber (Peggy); and a host of other relatives and friends.
