Mr. Willie Barnette McRae Jr., 71 of Charlotte, passed away on Friday November 15, 2019.  He was the son of the late Willie B. McRae Sr & Mary A. Johnson McRae.  He was born September 5, 1948 in Scotland County.  Willie was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister, one grand, and one great grand.

Willie attended Scotland County Schools, he then worked at the City of Laurinburg, X-Way Milling Company, both in Laurinburg, NC until marrying Linda D. McRae on January 22, 1992 and moved to Charlotte, NC in 1976, there he worked at Dillard Paper Company and until his health began to fail.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife, Linda D. McRae; one son, Alfonzo (Allyson)) McRae of Rockhill, SC; three daughters, Sherry (Marlon) Quick of Charlotte, NC, Nancy (Tryone) Williams of Laurel Hill, NC, Courtney (Thomas) Griffin of Laurinburg, NC; one stepson, Marshall (Kim) Roseboro of Taylors, SC; one step daughter, Christina (Joe) Preston of Charlotte, NC; eighteen grands, twenty five great grands, four brothers, James McRae of Hamlet, NC, Calvin (Alberta) McRae of Charlotte, Jerry McRae of Charlotte, NC & Gary McRae of Greensboro; NC, four sisters, Mattie Littles of Hamlet, NC, Shirley (Larry) Parker of Laurel Hill, NC, Angela McRae of Charlotte, NC & Tracy (Thomas) McRae of Laurinburg, eight sister-in-laws & three brother-in-laws.  A Very Very special Pet Dog (BuB) whom he loved so much and a host of other relatives and friends.
