Ms. Yvette Elaine Adams, 57 of Charlotte earned her eternal wings on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Novant Health Presbyterian.  She was born on Friday, July 23, 1965 in Charlotte, N.C. to the late Robert Adams Sr. and Willie Fair Adams.

Ms. Adams attended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, Druid Hills Elementary, J.T. Williams Middle School and graduated from Independence High School, class of 1983.  As a young adult, Yvette worked for Sears and Robuck Company.  She was a kind, gentle spirit who always put the needs of others before her own.  Yvette was small in stature, but strong at heart.  During her health challenges, she never complained.  You would always see her with a smile on her face and welcoming hello.  Affectionately, she was known by various nicknames "Lil Bit", "Booby", "Pee-Wee", "E", and "Dutchess".  In her spare time, Yvette loved doing arts & crafts, reading fictional books, watching horror movies, and had a great interest in gymnastics.  Most memorably, she loved preparing sweet, tasty desserts for her Sunday siblings' dinner.

Ms. Yvette Adams was preceded in death by older brothers, Robert Adams Jr., Charles Adams and sister Doris Adams.  She leaves to cherish in fond memories her daughter Shameka Adams, son Tory Adams and beloved nephew Roderick Adams, 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 6 siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Yvette was truly an angel on earth.
