Yvonne Marie Colby was born on March 25th, 1953 to Richard Colby and Donna (Roe) Colby in Rockford, Illinois. She graduated from West Division High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and later attended Milwaukee Area Technical College to study design drafting.

Although she excelled academically, Yvonne soon discovered that her true calling was caring for people and building meaningful connections. She dedicated many years to the hospitality industry, where her warm personality and genuine love for people shone through in her work as a waitress. Her friendly smile and easy conversation turned countless customers into friends, and her attentive care made everyone feel welcome and valued. In addition to her work in hospitality, Yvonne served with dedication and compassion as a Certified Nursing Assistant, caring for her patients with patience, respect, and kindness. Her life was a testament to her giving heart and her unwavering commitment to helping others.

Yvonne was a true foodie who loved to try new dishes and savor delicious meals. She especially enjoyed her favorite restaurant, Del Frisco's, where annual visits with her son William and daughter in law Rava were always something she looked forward to. In her quiet moments, she found joy in working on puzzles at her kitchen table, laughing along to movies and classic sitcoms. She especially treasured her weekly tradition watching The Voice, Dancing with the stars, and American Idol with her sister Christine, a ritual they kept faithfully for many years, creating memories filled with laughter and shared excitement. At her side through it all was her beloved cat, Zoey, her faithful companion who brought her constant comfort and joy every day.

Above all, Yvonne was most proud of her family. She adored each of her children and deeply appreciated their unique personalities and life journeys. She was endlessly supportive of their dreams and personal growth.

Her son Jeremy was her brilliant child, sharing her sharp mind and quiet resilience. She admired his strength and intelligence, traits that reflected her own. William kept her grounded and brought her laughter, even if he sometimes tested her patience. Adrian mirrored Yvonne's gentle, compassionate spirit, and the bond they shared was one of mutual kindness and understanding. Miracle, her only daughter, was truly "mama's baby." They spoke every single day, often multiple times, just to check in, share stories, or chat about life. Yvonne always reminded Miracle that she held a special place in her heart because she was her baby and the only girl.

Yvonne's heart overflowed with love and pride for her grandchildren. She cherished Bible study with India, treasured her heart-to-heart talks with Exzavia, beamed with joy watching Emmanuel perform in plays, and was filled with so much excitement watching Amari play basketball. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she never missed a chance to tell everyone how proud she was of each of them.

Yvonne was a true blessing to all who knew her. From a young age, she devoted her life to the Lord. Her mother's prayers and unwavering faith is what kept her safe and gave her courage to face the world. She held on tightly to every lesson that her mother taught her and every prayer she whispered over her, trusting that her love would surround her. Yvonne's faith guided her every step and shone through in the way she cared for others, offered compassion without hesitation, and spread kindness wherever she went.

Yvonne was the embodiment of warmth, generosity, and unwavering compassion. Her giving spirit knew no bounds, she found joy in caring for

others and never hesitated to extend a helping hand or a listening ear. With a heart full of love for everyone she met, Yvonne made it effortless for others to love her in return. Her delightful sense of humor could brighten even the darkest days, and her laughter was a source of comfort and connection. Yvonne's greatest joy came from loving her family, friends, and community and doing so with the grace and strength rooted in her unshakeable faith. To know Yvonne was to experience genuine kindness and unconditional love, and her legacy of grace and joy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
