Ms. Yvonne Hill, affectionately known by family & friends as "Vonne", departed this life on Tuesday, January 2023 at Peak Resources Nursing Facility in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Yvonne was born on September 6, 1956 to the late Robert & Dorothy Hill in Brooklyn, New York. She was the baby girl of 6 siblings.
Yvonne's hobbies were cooking, singing, dancing, and playing handball. Yvonne attended school in New York, graduating from in 1972 from Andrew Jackson High School. Yvonne completed her Nursing Course and was hired by Social concern as a Home Health Aide. She loved her clients and took good care of them.
Yvonne's children were her nieces and nephews, along with everyone's else's child. She loved children and knew and how to control them, and they listened.
At the age of thirty-one, Yvonne became ill. She walked into Long Island Medical Center with a fever. After her fever broke, she was sent home. Two days, the fever returned. Yvonne decided to go to North Shore Hospital, where she was diagnosed Spinal Meningitis. After a series of spinal taps, Yvonne was unable to walk. Her spirits were down, however, her mom Dorothy Hill nursed back with Bible scriptures and wholesome company with the brothers and sisters from the Rosedale Congregation in New York City. Learning how to get around in a wheelchair, Yvonne visited the Kingdom Hall and soon attended conventions and assemblies. During this time, she received loving support from two young brothers, Brandon Perry and Louis Herrera, II who were ready to assist her.
On July 2, 2201, at the Nassau Coliseum in NYC, Yvonne was baptized, brining joy to her Mon and the Rosedale congregation. She faithfully endured with loving support from her new spiritual family. In 2006, her mom, Dorothy Hill, passed away, leaving her in the trusted hands of her siblings.
In 2008, the family ventured to Charlotte, NC where Yvonne settled down at the Peak Resources Nursing Facility, where she would soon call home. In Charlotte, she became a cherished member of the Hampshire Hill congregation in which her spiritual family grew more and more.
Her new brothers and sisters accompanied her to doctor's visits, home cooked meals, did her laundry, grocery shopping,, helped her get dressed for meetings, and provided transportation so she can attend conventions. Yvonne knew she was loved, and was so grateful she was part of Jehovah's worldwide organization.

On a special note, the family recognizes cousin Tyrone Foster, whom they shared a special bond. Every week faithfully, they did Watchtower studies together.
Yvonne often mentioned in conversations the love and support of the Hampshire Hill congregation, those who went the extra mile like Bro and Sis Good, Bro Ron and Charlene Jones, Bro Clarence and Brenda Cartwright, Bro Nathaniel and Candice Hallmon, and others who's deeds are not forgotten. Especially the young ones, who painted her pictures, brought her flowers, we can go on; Yvonne shared it all with her family.
