Mr. Zacchaeus Nyeer Edwards, 19, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Atrium Main.

Zacchaeus Edwards was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, to Debrielle Frazier and Charone Edwards.  He was a senior at West Mecklenburg High School and a born-again believer, accepting Christ at an early age.  He was excited about his upcoming graduation in June.

Zacchaeus was very creative and innovative.  He loved to draw, paint and create new things.  He also enjoyed cooking, exploring his grandmother's cookbooks and trying new recipes.

He was very tech savvy and was the "go-to" guy for anything to do with electronics, gaming and online issues in the household.  Being around his family was an imperative part of his life.  His siblings were not only his family but his best friends.  He loved and cared for his entire family and people in his life.  He loved visiting and traveling with his grandparents and being around his entire family.  His dream was to move to Japan, after college and pursue a career as a manga artist.  Zacchaeus was a humble, honest, caring and grateful young man.  He will truly be missed.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul Edwards and Gyvonna Miller and cousin, Jerrard Forney, Jr.  He is survived by his parents, Debrielle Frazier, Charone and Keisha Edwards (step-mother); his grandparents, Ray and Clarice Lewis, Ron and Liz Goode, Derek and Twila Frazier; siblings, Dayteesha Frazier, Jennaysha Frazier, Zephaniah Frazier, Uzziah Cowan, Ariyanna Edwards, Javonna Edwards and Javonne Edwards; his aunts/uncle, Derek Frazier, Jr., Dericka Frazier, Denetra Frazier, Jeahn and Rita Wiggins; and a host of cousins along with other family members and friends.
